Sheep Station Rally Postponed
The Sheep Station rally has unfortunately succumbed to external pressures causing no option but postponement.
These decisions don’t come lightly but the following factors certainly weighed heavily.
1. Low entries.
2. Knock on effects upon local fuel supply and costs.
3. Ever increasing pressure on household budgets.
By no means is this the end of this event – quite the opposite !
All of the hard work has been done. An incredible route, all of the catering and the instructions are ready. But all of those efforts will simply have to be put on ‘pause’ until we can ensure that the event can run in a successful manner.
I am sure you know that our events are never placed to be ‘money spinners’ and are priced as inexpensively as feasible to allow all of our members the chance to enjoy as many rallies and tours that we can fill our calendar with.
Simply put, only 8 crews entered along with cost and difficulty to obtaining fuel in the more remote areas of the route ( farming regions relying on fuel to be able to function ) simply doesn’t stack up with the current date/s.
We are of course truly sorry, and on behalf of the CRC - we can’t thank Drivetek Motorsport enough ( Jon and Tina Mansell ) for their consistent and incredible efforts in ensuring that we have so many great events available to us.
We will keep you posted when a suitable timing can be sorted and thank you for your understanding and look forward to ongoing support with all of our CRC and partner events in the future.
